My Story
I wanted to share a little about how I became a Independent Scentsy Consultant. I became hooked on these wonderful products in 2013. Having at least 2 parties a year to earn my Hostess Rewards to supply the need in our home. I couldn't afford to purchase often. So, that is why I hosted.... Each year, I grew to LOVE it more and more!!! Every time a new catalog came out, I hosted to get the "New Stuff"; - Free & Half Off!
At that time, I was our County Fair Director. The consultant that did the parties for me asked if she could do our yearly fundraiser. Of course, I said SURE!!! I didn't even know Scentsy was capable of doing or offering a fundraiser. This fundraiser brought in MORE profit than any other one we had done in years past.....I thought to myself, I just helped her talk to customers, place orders, & deliver product. I COULD DO THIS!!!! It was a no brainer!
After I signed up, I learned that our fundraiser helped her achieve the Fall Incentive which was a CRUISE!!!! I wanted a cruise! She didn't do anything more than what I knew I was capable of doing. That was my drive! I wanted a paid vacation! I NEEDED ONE!!!
Fast forward to 2017 - I EARNED MY FIRST CRUISE!!!! The cruise was for the summer of 2018....It was definitely a God thing! I prayed about this all year......James & I married and became a blended family in April of 2018. So, the cruise we used as our Honeymoon! Together we have 5 kids from our other marriages. So this trip couldn't have come at a better time! We needed this time together before we moving in together and start doing "life" as 1 household.
While on the cruise, we did an excursion in Jamaica- Orville & Heidi (The Co-CEO's of Scentsy) were in our group. James and I got to know their hearts & talk to them as "regular" people. They truly are "good people". They really care about ALL of US! That trip really changed my whole perception of making this Scentsy Hobby into a Business! Actually working it....Fast forward to 2022- I STILL LOVE THE COMPANY!!! Working on my next trip! This time - I hope to take others with me!
I do childcare in our home. Scentsy gives me the freedom to have a side gig at home while being home with my kids & other kids. I work Scentsy around our daily routine. The great thing is that I can also take a break from it all if I need to be "present" with my family. I absolutely LOVE being an Independent Scentsy Consultant! PS- I cant remember a time where I paid full price for our stash of Scent-illating Goods! Before I was a consultant, I was a Host...
